Rimini's nightlife is genuinely impressive for a mid-size Italian city — the riviera invented the Italian discotheque in the 1970s and never quite let go. In summer the beachfront clubs run until dawn; in the old town, the action is quieter and more focused on aperitivo culture around Piazza Cavour and the Tiberius Bridge. The flashier clubs concentrate in neighbouring Riccione.
