Ariana is one of Gaeta's smaller beaches, a pocket of sand tucked below the coastal road west of town. Compared with broad Serapo, it feels more enclosed, with clear water, rock edges and a cove-like shape that makes the setting the main attraction.
In summer it is still a managed beach scene, so arrive early if you want space. Outside the busiest weeks, Ariana is a good choice when you want a swim with more character than the town beach and less commitment than a long coastal excursion.
