Around 450 Greek and Roman sculptures from the Capitoline Museums collection displayed in a decommissioned early-20th-century power station in the Ostiense district. The contrast between white marble gods and athletes and the giant turbines and boilers of the industrial plant is genuinely striking — this is one of Rome's most atmospheric museum spaces.
Worth the short metro ride from the centre (Garbatella on Line B). Far less crowded than the Capitoline Museums proper.
