Santa Maria sopra Minerva is one of Rome's rare Gothic churches, standing just behind the Pantheon. Its plain facade hides a rich interior with stained glass, tombs, side chapels, and major artworks that make it much more rewarding than it first appears from the square outside.
It is an easy addition to a Pantheon or Piazza Navona walk, and worth entering even on a short visit through the historic centre.
