Camogli is a town you walk. Everything in the centre is within fifteen minutes on foot, and a car is more hindrance than help — parking is limited and the streets near the harbour are pedestrianised or too narrow for comfortable driving.
On foot is the default for the harbour, church, castle, and beaches. The stairs can be steep; comfortable shoes matter more than they might at first appear.
By boat: Golfo Paradiso runs ferries from the harbour to San Fruttuoso, Portofino, and Santa Margherita Ligure from spring through autumn. This is the most pleasant way to reach San Fruttuoso and avoids the return hike if your legs are tired. The ferry landing is at the far end of the harbour, beyond the breakwater.
By train: The railway station is a five-minute walk from the harbour and connects Camogli to Genoa (20 minutes), Recco, and the Cinque Terre. It is the most practical way to make day trips along the coast without a car.
