Tellaro has no train station. The nearest one is La Spezia Centrale, with frequent trains from Genoa, Pisa, Florence and Milan. From the station, bus line L takes about thirty-five minutes via Lerici; in summer it can run every twenty minutes, in winter once an hour.
By car it is signposted off the SP331 from Lerici. Do not try to drive into the village itself — leave the car in the upper car park (paid in summer) and walk down. Parking is the single biggest hassle of visiting Tellaro in July and August; arrive before ten in the morning or after five in the afternoon.
