Bergamo Cathedral

Bergamo Cathedral is dedicated to Saint Alexander, the city's patron saint, though the church was originally dedicated to Saint Vincent. It stands in the dense religious heart of Città Alta, close to the Cappella Colleoni and Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore.

The cathedral is best visited as part of a slow walk through Bergamo's upper town, where several major churches and civic monuments sit only a few steps apart.
