The two funiculars are essential. The first runs from the lower city (end of bus line 1) up to Città Alta at Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe. The second continues from Colle Aperto in the upper city all the way up to San Vigilio. Both are short rides with good views. Within the cities, the ATB bus network covers most of the urban area, and the main routes are frequent. A car is useful for the valleys.
