The Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense is one of Milan's great historic libraries, founded in the 18th century and still housed in the Brera complex. It is not a quick-hit museum, but the reading rooms, old collections, and setting make it worth knowing about if you are already exploring Brera.
The library also hosts talks and cultural events. Check access before going, as working libraries do not always keep the same rhythm as museums.
