A walled garden hidden inside the same Jesuit-era complex as the Pinacoteca, reached through a side entrance on Via Fratelli Gabba just off Via Brera. It was laid out in the late 18th century for the Accademia's botany students and still belongs to the university, with greenhouses, a small pond, and some of the oldest ginkgo trees in the city — one dates to the garden's founding. Magnolias and tulip trees flower in spring.

Few visitors make it past the Pinacoteca's queue to find this, which is the appeal: even on a busy Brera afternoon, the garden tends to be close to empty. Good for a quiet half hour between the gallery and a coffee on Via Brera. Free to enter, no ticket needed.
