Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro

Foundation and former studio of sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro, with guided weekend visits

Address Via Vigevano 3, 20144 Milan
Opening Hours Guided studio visits Sat–Sun 17:30 (booking recommended)

The Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro occupies the artist's former studio just off the Navigli, set up in 1995 to conserve his archive and works and to keep contemporary art conversations going around them. Pomodoro is best known for large bronze and metal sculptures with cracked, geometric exteriors that reveal jagged inner surfaces — pieces of his stand outside the Milan stock exchange and in front of the UN headquarters in New York.

The foundation runs guided visits to the studio on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, including a labyrinth installation Pomodoro built into the space, and occasionally pairs tours with a glass of wine. It's a quieter, more contemplative stop than the bars along the canal — worth working into a Navigli afternoon if you time it for the weekend visiting hours, since the foundation isn't a walk-in museum.
