Taranto is served by its own railway station on the main line from Bari (about 1 hour 15 minutes by regional train). From Bari, trains run regularly throughout the day. High-speed trains from Rome and Milan connect to Bari, from where you continue to Taranto. The nearest international airport is Brindisi (Papola Casale), about 70 km away, with connections by bus and train.
By car, Taranto sits at the junction of the A14 motorway (from Bari and the north) and the SS7 road. The city is about 90 minutes from Bari, 4 hours from Naples, and 5 hours from Rome.
