The archipelago's main draw is its water — diving, snorkelling, sailing, and simply swimming in some of the clearest seas in the Mediterranean. On land, the Garibaldi museum on Caprera provides historical depth, and La Maddalena town rewards an afternoon's walking. Most visitors spend at least part of their time on a boat tour of the smaller islands.
