The city centre of Olbia is compact and walkable. Bus routes 2 and 10 serve the airport. For exploring the Costa Smeralda and the surrounding coast, a rental car is all but essential — much of the best coastline is accessible only by car or boat. Car rental is available at both the airport and the ferry terminal.
