Getting There

Oristano is on the main railway line between Cagliari and Sassari, with regular services in both directions. Cagliari, the island's capital, is about an hour by train. There is no nearby airport of any size — the closest are Cagliari Elmas (served by Ryanair, easyJet, and Alitalia) to the south, and Alghero-Fertilia to the north.

By car, Oristano is well connected via the SS131 dual carriageway (the Carlo Felice highway), the main artery of Sardinia running north to south. Driving is by far the best way to explore the Sinis Peninsula and the surrounding area.
