The Sanctuary of Madonna of Miracles is Alcamo's main pilgrimage church, dedicated to the town's patroness. It was built in 1547 after the discovery of an icon of the Madonna, an event that became central to local devotion.
The church sits below the town centre and is best visited as part of a walk through Alcamo's historic core, together with the castle and the Basilica di Santa Maria Assunta.
