Eating Out

Pitigliano has a handful of restaurants along the main street, Corso Cavour, and in the surrounding lanes, most of them serving the cucina Maremmana of southern Tuscany — hearty, meat-led, without the refinement of Florentine cooking. The local wine, Bianco di Pitigliano, is a clean, dry white made from Trebbiano grapes grown on the volcanic soil; it pairs well with local cured meats and the pecorino cheese of the Maremma.
