Canal Walks

Treviso's canals do not form a network the way Venice's do, but the central stretches of the Cagnan and Buranelli are lined with mills, fishmongers, and old laundries. The walk along the Buranelli canal, from the Pescheria north past Vicolo Molinetto, is the prettiest in the city — water wheels still turning, terraces of restaurants overhanging the water, willows trailing into the current.

A second short walk follows the Cagnan north from the centre to the medieval Pescheria fish market and on towards the city walls. Total walking time end to end is under half an hour.
