The grandest of Treviso's three surviving Renaissance city gates, built in 1518 at the northern end of the centre. The outer face is a wedding-cake assembly of pilasters, niches, and a winged lion of Saint Mark, the Venetian Republic's badge of ownership.
Walk through to the small park beyond — this is the start of the green ring around the city walls, popular with runners and dog-walkers in the early evening.
