Ca' Rezzonico is one of the best places in Venice to understand the city's late aristocratic world. The museum fills a Grand Canal palace with 18th-century furniture, frescoes, domestic interiors, and paintings by artists such as Guardi, Canaletto, and Tiepolo.
It is less overwhelming than the Doge's Palace and more intimate than the Accademia. Come for the rooms as much as the art: the building makes Venetian nobility feel like a lived environment rather than a sequence of masterpieces.
