SS. Felice and Fortunato

SS. Felice and Fortunato is one of Vicenza's oldest surviving churches, with roots reaching back to late antiquity. It is especially interesting for visitors looking beyond Palladio, since the church preserves a much earlier layer of the city's religious and architectural history.

The present complex has been altered over many centuries, but its early Christian origins still make it one of northern Italy's more important paleo-Christian sites. It is worth pairing with Vicenza's better-known churches and palaces for a broader sense of the city's long chronology.
