Prizren has a good restaurant scene by Kosovo standards, concentrated along the Bistrica riverfront and in the old bazaar. The cooking is broadly Balkan — grilled meats, burek (flaky pastry filled with meat or cheese), tave (baked lamb or chicken in clay pots), and fresh salads. Albanian cuisine here shows some Ottoman influence in its use of spices and slow-cooked preparations.
The cobblestoned riverfront is the social hub in the evenings, with café terraces spilling out along both banks. Prices are low by Western European standards — a full restaurant meal with wine rarely exceeds 10–12 euros per person.
