Ventspils is small and flat — almost everything is walkable, and the city has invested heavily in cycle infrastructure. The dedicated path network covers the centre, the beach, the Seaside Park, and a long Coast Road south. Bicycle rental stations sit at the castle, the beach, and the bus station; cards work at most.
Local buses cover the more distant suburbs but are rarely needed for a visitor. Taxis are inexpensive and the Bolt app works.
