The city centre is compact and walkable. The main sights — Laisvės Square, the cathedral, the drama theatre, and the street murals — are all reachable on foot from the bus terminal within 15–20 minutes. The mural walk itself covers a wider area but remains pedestrian-friendly.
The Upytė Ethnographic Museum requires a car or taxi; it is a short drive west of the centre but not convenient without your own transport. Local buses connect the centre to the outer residential areas but are not necessary for most visitors.
