A small steep-sided cove on the west of the Marfa peninsula, Anchor Bay is dominated by the wooden buildings of Popeye Village climbing up one side. The bay itself is pretty in its own right — a narrow inlet between cliffs, with clear deep water and a small pebble beach.
You can swim here from the rocks or from inside the Popeye Village entry. The view from the road above is one of the most photographed in Malta, especially in late afternoon when the wooden buildings catch the sun. Park at the top of the hill and walk down.
