Budva's old town and the immediate resort area are walkable. The old town itself is tiny — you can cross it in five minutes — and Mogren Beach is a ten-minute walk along the coastal path from the old town walls. The main hotel strip along Slovenska obala extends about 1.5 km north from the old town.
For the beaches and villages south of Budva, local buses connect Budva to Bečići, Rafailovići, Pržno, and Sveti Stefan along the coastal road. Buses run frequently in summer and the journey to Sveti Stefan takes about 15 minutes. Taxis are plentiful and cheap by western European standards — a ride to Bečići costs a few euros. In July and August, parking in town is difficult and road congestion on the coastal road can be bad; walking or taking the bus to nearby beaches is sensible.
Water taxis run from the Budva marina to Sveti Nikola island during summer, taking about 15 minutes.
