Mogren is Budva's best beach for those who want to escape the hotel-front strip. A short walk south from the old town walls leads to a short tunnel cut through the rocky headland, emerging onto Mogren I and Mogren II — two small pebble beaches separated by a rock arch. The water here is clear and slightly sheltered from the open sea, and the setting is more attractive than the long beach to the north.
Mogren gets busy in summer but rarely reaches the sardine-like conditions of Slovenska obala. Sun loungers and umbrellas can be rented; there are snack bars during the season. Go in the morning to secure a good spot, or come in the early evening when the light is warm and the crowds have thinned. The walk from the old town takes about ten minutes along a coastal path.
