Breda sits at a crossroads in the southern Netherlands, with Belgium just a few kilometres south. The village of Baarle-Hertog, where the Dutch-Belgian border runs through living rooms, is a short bike ride away. The old village of Ginneken, now a Breda suburb, still has its moats and the remains of the Bouvigne castle.
