Breda is well-connected by train and bus, and easy to reach by car from anywhere in the Netherlands or Belgium.
By train. Breda station sits on the main intercity line between Amsterdam and the south. Direct trains run frequently from Rotterdam (30 minutes), The Hague, and Tilburg. International travellers should connect through Amsterdam, Rotterdam, or Eindhoven.
By bus. The central bus station is next to the train station. Direct international buses run from Belgium, Germany, and France, which can save you a transfer in a bigger city.
By car. Breda is at the junction of the A16 and A27 motorways. If you are driving from abroad, make sure your insurance has a Green Card and carry your registration papers. There are no border checkpoints, but Dutch police do occasional roadside checks.
By plane. Breda has no airport. The closest options are Eindhoven (40 minutes by train) and Rotterdam The Hague Airport. For intercontinental flights, Amsterdam Schiphol is about 90 minutes away by train.
