The Holland Casino is one of the state-owned casino chain's fourteen branches, perched directly on the Zandvoort boulevard with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the beach. It opened in 1979 and was for many years the principal off-season reason to come to Zandvoort — bus tours from across the Randstad would stop here in winter when everything else in town was closed.
Inside is the standard formula: blackjack, American and French roulette, automated games, and a small restaurant. The view is the only thing that distinguishes it from the other thirteen Holland Casinos in the country, but on a stormy evening that is enough. Smart-casual dress code, passport or driving licence required, minimum age 18.
