's Gravensteen is a historic stone building in Zierikzee, originally associated with the count's steward and later used as a court and prison. Parts of the building date back to the medieval period, with a major rebuild in the 16th century.
Its prison inscriptions, some centuries old, are the most evocative detail. The building is a compact stop in the old town, best combined with Zierikzee's harbour gates, town museum, and church tower.
