Bryggkanten is a bar and social space on the waterfront, popular with the after-work crowd and busy on summer evenings when the outdoor terrace becomes one of the better places in the city to drink with a view. The bar is large enough to find a seat most nights; in summer the terrace fills up early and it is worth arriving by 6 pm if you want a waterside table.
The beer list runs to a dozen taps, Norwegian and international, and the food menu covers burgers and small plates. The atmosphere is casual and the crowd mixes local workers, visitors waiting for evening ferries, and the young professional segment that lives in the waterfront apartments nearby. It closes later than most Bodø establishments, which makes it the default final stop on a night out.
