Beisfjord is the trailhead for a demanding inland hike southeast of Narvik. The route to Lossihytta climbs to about 750 metres and runs roughly 25 km one way, with two river fords and enough distance to make this a trip for fit, prepared walkers rather than a casual stroll.
The hike can be extended into a longer circuit around Storsteinsfjellet, with a return by train from Katterat. Bring the DNT key if you plan to use the huts; otherwise you need camping gear and the usual mountain-weather caution.
