The Rauma Line from Dombås to Åndalsnes is one of Norway's most scenic railway journeys, branching off the main Oslo–Trondheim line and descending dramatically through the Romsdal valley. As you approach Åndalsnes, look left and back to catch a glimpse of the Trollveggen — Europe's tallest vertical cliff face. Buses also connect Åndalsnes with Molde, Ålesund, and in summer with Geiranger via the Trollstigen road.
