Częstochowa's former town hall now serves as a branch of the city museum, adding civic history to a place better known for pilgrimage. Its exhibitions help explain how the modern city grew around, but not entirely because of, Jasna Góra.
The building is central and easy to include while walking Aleja Najświętszej Maryi Panny. It is a useful short stop if you want local context before or after visiting the monastery.
