Jasna Góra is the overwhelming reason to come to Częstochowa, and the monastery complex is large enough to occupy most of a day. Beyond it, the city has a handsome main avenue and a few sites connected to the WWII history of the region. Most visitors treat it as a day trip, but staying overnight means you can see the evening and morning prayers at the monastery, which are quite different in atmosphere from the midday pilgrim rush.
