Vila do Conde is about 30 km north of Porto. The most convenient public transport connection is the Metro do Porto Line B (Póvoa de Varzim direction), which stops at Vila do Conde station and runs regularly from Porto's city centre. The journey takes about 45 minutes and drops you at the edge of the old town.
Trains on the Linha do Minho also serve Vila do Conde from Porto Campanhã station. By car from Porto, take the A28 motorway north — it takes about 25–30 minutes outside rush hour. There is no airport; Porto's Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is about 20 km south and connects to the metro network.
