By air. Mihail Kogălniceanu International Airport (CND) sits 25 km north of the city, with seasonal flights from across Europe (Wizz Air, Ryanair, TAROM) plus year-round connections to Bucharest. Buses run from the airport to the city centre in about forty-five minutes; taxis are inexpensive.
By train. Gara Constanța is on the main line from Bucharest, with around eight daily trains. The fastest InterCity services take about two-and-a-half hours. The station is 2 km west of the old town — bus 100 or a short taxi covers the gap.
By bus and minibus. Long-distance buses run from Bucharest, Brașov and several Bulgarian cities. The main bus terminal is opposite the railway station.
By car. The A2 motorway connects Bucharest to Constanța — about 230 km of mostly-good road, two and a half hours in light traffic, considerably more on summer Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons when half of Bucharest drives down to the coast.
