Holy Trinity Church stands below Sighișoara's famous citadel, on the newer side of town, and that position is what makes it useful. Its domed Orthodox form contrasts sharply with the Saxon towers and steep lanes above, showing another layer of the city's history and population.
It is an easy stop before or after crossing the Târnava Mare. The interior is worth a look if open, but even from outside the church helps pull Sighișoara out of the postcard frame of the citadel alone.
