Getting There

By train: Khabarovsk sits on the Trans-Siberian Railway, roughly 5,300 km from Moscow. The journey from Moscow takes around six days on the main Trans-Siberian line; from Vladivostok it is 12–15 hours. The Khabarovsk Railway Station is a major junction — trains to and from Vladivostok, the BAM (Baikal-Amur Mainline), and northern Khabarovsk Krai all pass through here.

By air: Khabarovsk Novy Airport (KHV) is 6 km east of the city. Regular flights connect to Moscow (around 8 hours), St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, and other Russian cities. International connections include Seoul, Harbin, and occasionally Tokyo. Aeroflot and S7 are the main carriers. For long-distance travel to Magadan, Yakutsk, and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the airport is the only practical option.
