Vladivostok has a more sophisticated bar scene than many Russian cities of comparable size, partly because of the city's Pacific orientation and partly because young people here are more connected to Japanese and Korean culture than to Moscow's trends. Craft beer arrived early and the rooftop bar culture is strong in summer, when the evenings are warm and the bay views are at their best.
