Partizánska Kaviareň (Partisan Cafe) is a deliberately retro-styled cafe in the old town that leans into Bratislava's communist-era aesthetic with an affection that avoids kitsch. The decor draws on the design vocabulary of 1960s and 1970s Czechoslovakia — clean lines, muted colours, period typography — and the coffee is genuinely good.
The cafe is a favourite of the local creative and design community, which gives it a slightly more interesting atmosphere than the average old town coffee shop.
