Ribič

A family-run fish restaurant on the western edge of the old town, on a small terrace overlooking the harbour. The fish is bought daily from the boats fifty metres away, the menu changes accordingly, and the cooking is unfussy — grilled sea bass, fritto misto, spaghetti with clams, a good brodetto. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable by Adriatic standards.

Reservations recommended in summer. The terrace is the place to be; the small interior is fine in cooler months but lacks the view. A solid, characteristic Izola meal.
