Stara Sava is the old ironworks quarter of Jesenice and the best reason to stop in town. The area gathers industrial buildings, workers' housing, and older manor structures into a walkable pocket just south of the modern centre.
It is not polished in the way of a museum village, and that is a strength. You get a readable slice of industrial Slovenia: furnaces, labour, transport, and the social world that grew up around them. Pair it with the Upper Sava Museum for the full story.
