Stara Loka, just north of the main old town, is one of the older settlement areas around Škofja Loka. It is a low-key extension of the visit rather than a headline sight, useful if you want to see how the town spreads beyond the postcard core.
Walk here if you have time after the castle and bridge. The reward is a quieter local streetscape and a better sense of the town's scale within the Sora valley.
