The central square of Arroyo de la Miel, shaded by orange trees and anchored by the 17th-century Iglesia de Santo Domingo de Guzmán. This is where local life actually happens — old men reading the newspaper in the morning, children running around after school, neighbours taking the evening paseo. The square has a handful of good traditional restaurants around its edges, and a more relaxed atmosphere than anything you will find down on the coast. It is a ten-minute walk from the train station.
