Parish Church of Nuestra Señora de la O

Chipiona's main parish church sits one block back from the seafront in the heart of the old town. The building is sixteenth-century at its core, with later baroque additions — a heavy tower, a tiled dome, a Mudéjar-influenced wooden ceiling in the central nave. The interior is plain by Andalucían standards: the centrepiece is a polychrome wooden statue of the Virgin attributed to the seventeenth-century school of Pedro Roldán.

Ten minutes is enough. The small plaza outside is a pleasant place to sit with a coffee from the cafe on the corner.
