Gaucin is a small village, and its pleasures are accordingly modest: a ruined castle, narrow streets, walking country, and views that stretch to Morocco on a clear day. For serious cave painting enthusiasts, the Cueva de la Pileta nearby is one of the finest prehistoric sites in Spain.
