The Iglesia del Divino Salvador is Vejer's main church and the best single building for reading the town's history. It is not a neat monument from one period, but a layered structure with Gothic, Mudéjar, and earlier traces folded into the same stone shell.
The church sits high in the old town, so it naturally becomes part of any walk through Vejer. Step inside if it is open, then linger outside: the surrounding lanes are some of the most atmospheric in the town.
