A short, lively street just east of the old town lined almost entirely with sidrerías, officially nicknamed the Boulevard de la Sidra. On warm evenings the terraces spill onto the pavement and the sound of cider splashing into glasses is constant. This is the best place in Oviedo to experience escanciar — the ritual high-pour — in a concentrated, festive atmosphere.
Tierra Astur and Sidrería La Manzana are among the better-known establishments, but the whole street delivers a similar experience. Each sidrería serves its own brand of natural cider alongside Asturian staples — tortilla, croquetas, cheese boards. Come around 9 pm on a weekend and be prepared for crowds. The street is at its best in summer, when the outdoor tables stay full until midnight.
